CELEBRITY gardener Alan Titchmarsh has planted a Pride & Prejudice Rose in the Garden at Jane Austen’s House Museum in Chawton.
The Pride & Prejudice rose was developed by Harkness Roses for this year’s 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s most-loved novel, and was launched earlier this year at the Chelsea Flower Show.
A donation from the sale of every rose supports the Museum’s work.
Alan was joined by gardener Celia Simpson and Philip Harkness from Harkness Roses for the planting of the rose, a floribunda in pale peach.
