GREEN waste has been dumped in Overton.
Overton Parish Council has been made aware of the incidents at the Copse and the green area of Foxdown.
A statement from the council said: “Green waste is just as unsightly as other forms of litter and should not be dumped in common areas of the village. It carries the same financial penalties as other forms of littering.”
Offenders are reminded to either subscribe to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council’s green waste collection service, to take larger items to the Wade Road waste and recycling centre or compost waste in the garden.
