ONE lane of a major Hampshire road is currently blocked whilst emergency services deal with a vehicle fire.
The southbound lane of the M3 between junction 6 and junction 7 is blocked after a small van caught fire.
Firefighters from Basingstoke and Hartley Wintney were called to the scene at 2.55pm, where the van’s load – synthetic rock foam – was set alight.
Emergency services are currently still on the scene dealing with the fire using hoses and foam to put out the fire.
Traffic is heavy, but moving slowly.
