A HOME and a van have been severely damaged after a fire earlier today.
The fire started in a van in Stockbridge Close, Chineham, with firefighters called out at 10.53am.
However, by the time two crews from Basingstoke fire station arrived, the fire had spread to a home.
Firefighters used one hose reel, a jet and breathing apparatus to put out the fire as well as using tactical ventilation techniques to clear smoke from the property.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
However, the fire service reported that the home was smoke damaged throughout while around 10 per cent of the property was damaged by flames. The van was also severely fire-damaged.
Fire crews left the scene by 12.45pm.
