A MAN from Basingstoke has been who got behind the wheel while over the drink drive limit has been banned.
Craig Owen, of Paddock Road, on Saturday, December 9, drove a vehicle on the A339 in Basingstoke with 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, the 24-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.

Magistrates banned Owen from taking to the roads for 20 months and ordered a fine of £120 to be paid.
Court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £48 must also be paid.
