A LONDON man has been arrested in Basingstoke on suspicion of a drugs offence following a proactive stop.
Officers stopped a car in Vyne Road at approximately 1pm on Sunday, April 28 after they spotted the driver of a Vauxhall 'acting suspiciously'.
Bags of suspected Class A drugs were found in the vehicle following a search, in addition to £240 in cash.
A 34-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
He was also arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and using a vehicle on a road without third-party insurance.
The man has been bailed with conditions until July 28, pending further enquiries.
