A WOMAN was indecently assaulted on her way home from a night out in Basingstoke.
The 49-year-old was walking along Winterthur Way at about 11pm on March 12 when she noticed a man walking closely behind her. She stopped to let him past and he walked off.
A few minutes later he reappeared and ran towards the woman.
He indecently assaulted her, pushed her over and ran off.
The man is described as of Indian or Asian appearance, 30 to 35 years old, 5ft 5in to 5ft 6in and of slim build with short black wavy hair.
He wore a dark jacket, white top and dark bottoms.
PC Aiden Blackwell, of Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said: “There may have been other people in the area making there way home from town and we would ask anyone with information to contact us.”
