LOVELY little voices from Overton will be among hundreds filling The O2 Arena on Monday.
The 30 pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 at Overton Primary School in Court Drove, will be singing and dancing at the huge London venue on March 6 with other young performers from all over the country.
The pupils, aged betweennine and 11 have been rehearsing in their lunch hours since September to make sure they are pitch-perfect for their big performance.
Mel Stewart, learning support assistant at Overton Primary, has been organising the trip.
She said: “It’s the first time we’ve been involved, but hopefully it won’t be the last.
“You don’t often get the opportunity to sing somewhere like the O2 and we’re all looking forward to it. It’s been a lot of work but they sound fantastic.”
The pupils will be joined by stars including Connie Talbot, of Britain’s Got Talent, singer Randolph Matthews and band The High Kings for the event, staged by school choir organiser Young Voices.
They will be performing songs from various genres including a medley of songs by The Monkees, carol ‘Gaudete’, a Queen medley and ballads.
Mrs Stewart said: “Everyone has worked really hard and I’m sure the performance will be something they will never forget.”
