FORMER Basingstoke and North Hants cricket star Adam Rouse has been named in the Hampshire side to face Kent at Canterbury.
The 21-year-old from Farleigh Wallop will make his debut after replacing injured batsman Neil McKenzie in the side for this week's County Championship Division Two fixture, which gets under way at 11am.
Rouse, who was born in Zimbabwe, began his cricket career at May's Bounty, where his talent was spotted by Hampshire.
He is a wicket-keeper but will play as a specialist batsman this week as fellow gloveman Adam Wheater is also in the team.
