BASINGSTOKE skater Danielle Harrison capped a brilliant season as she took the bronze medal in the Novice Ladies class of the British Championships at Ice Sheffield.
The 12-year-old was in a category for skaters aged up to 15 and excelled, coming home with a medal after finishing third in both the short programme and free skate.
Harrison is coached by the team of Debi Briggs, Simon Briggs, Gary Peed and Lisa Beaumont.
Peed said: “Dani has been skating so well all season and it was great result for her being only 12. She still has another three years at this level.”
Other Basingstoke skaters completing in the same class were Hannah Rahman, who finished eighth overall after claiming seventh in the short programme and 10th in the free skate, while Talulla Corbett was placed 24th.
Both skaters are coached by Anita Curtis and she said: “I am proud of both of them.
“A top 10 finish was fantastic for Hannah. She had such a lovely skate and for Talulla it is always daunting being your first championship so she will have gained a lot from this experience. ”
In the Junior Ladies class Lucy-Anne Walker also enjoyed another top 10 finish as she came ninth.
Her coach Peed said: “I was really pleased with her performance in Sheffield.”
Before her excellent performance at the British Championships, Rahman won an audition at Plymouth to perform at Robin Cousins Holiday on Ice tour at Westpoint, Exeter in February.
Caitlin Marsh made a double for Basingstoke skaters after successfully winning in Cardiff and she will skate at the same show in Brighton next month.
