A DRUG driver who was caught in Basingstoke has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.
On Monday, November 20 last year Leon Rennie, of Gazelle Close in Gosport, drove a Audi A3 on the A30 Winchester Road with 6.7 micrograms of Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood - the legal limit is 2.
During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 11 the 24-year-old was sentenced for the offence after pleading guilty.

Magistrates banned Rennie from the roads for 12 months and ordered a fine of £120 to be paid.
Court costs of £40 and a surcharge fee of £48 must also be paid.
