VARIATION OF FEES FOR GRANT OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE AND OPERATORS LICENCES


NOTICE is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in exercise of its pow­ers under S70 Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 propose to vary the fees for the grant of hackney carriage and private hire vehicles and operators licences in the Borough in accordance with the following table:

Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence 1 Year
Current Fee  £240

Private Hire Vehicle Licence 1 Year

Any objections to the proposed variation to the fees must be made in writing to the Head of Governance, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, RG21 4AH to arrive no later than 1600hrs on 27 December 2013.


A copy of the notice of the proposed variation to the fees will also be available for inspection without payment from Monday to Friday during normal office hours for a period of 28 days at the Civic Offices.


If no objection is made to the proposed variation within the specified period for objections the revised fees will come into operation on 1 April 2014.


Any objections received and not withdrawn will be considered by the Council's Licensing Committee at its meeting on 21 January 2014 and the revised fees will then come into force with or without modifications on 1 April 2014. Head of Governance 28 November 2013
