BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL VARIATION OF HACKNEY CARRIAGE FARES

NOTICE is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in exercise of its powers under S65 Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions Act) 1976 propose to vary the fares and charges for hire of hackney carriages in the Borough in accordance with the following fare table.

Tariff 1 Daily between 06:00-23:00

Tariff 2 Daily between 23:00-06:00 & all bank/public holidays not covered under tariff 3

Tariff 3 Between 20:00 on Christmas Eve to 06:00 on 27 December and New Year's Eve from 19:00 to 06:00 on 2 January

Any objections to the proposed variation to the table of fares must be made in writing to the Head of Governance, Civic Offices at the address below to arrive no later than 16:00hrs on Thursday 12 December 2013. A copy of the notice of the proposed variation to the table of fares will also be available for inspection without payment from Monday to Friday during normal office hours for a period of 14 days at the Civic Offices at the address below.

If no objection is made to the proposed variation within the specified period for objections the revised table of fares will come into operation on 13 December 2013 (or as soon as reasonably practicable following the expiration of the consultation period). Any objections received and not withdrawn will be considered by the Council's Licensing Committee at its meeting on 21 January 2014, and the revised table of fares will then come into force with or without modifications on 22 January 2014. 28 December 2013.
