NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF DATE FOR THE EXERCISE OF ELECTORS' RIGHTS
ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2015 Audit Commission Act 1998, sections 15 and 16 The Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011 (SI 2011/817)
NOTICE
1. Date of announcement 16th July 2015.

2. NOTICE IS GIVEN that between 9.00am and 5.00pm from and including Monday 3 August 2015 to Friday 28 August 2015 (excluding weekends and bank holidays) any person interested may inspect, and make copies of the accounts of the above named Council for the year ended 31 March 2015 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto. The accounts and other documents will be available for inspection at the offices at which they are normally kept, or otherwise by arrangement. Application should be made initially to the Head of Resources, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, Hants, RG21 4AH, Tel (01256) 845513.

3. Notice is also given that on Tuesday 1 September 2015 the Auditor, at the request of a local government elector for any area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or their representative an opportunity to question them about the accounts. In addition any such elector or their representative may attend before the auditor and make objections as to any item in respect of which the auditor could (a) take action in respect of any unlawful item of account, failure to bring a sum into account or a loss or deficiency caused by wilful misconduct or (b) make a report in the public interest.

4. Questions maybe received at the Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4AH, by arrangement with Anna Blackman, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Savannah House, 3 Ocean Way, Ocean Village, Southampton SO14 3TJ (to whom requests for this purpose should be addressed). No objection may be made unless the auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and its grounds. A copy of this notice must be sent to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council at the address in paragraph 2.
