THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE, WELL STREET, BURGHCLERE AND SILCHESTER ROAD, LITTLE LONDON
THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (WELL STREET, BURGHCLERE AND SILCHESTER ROAD, LITTLE LONDON) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the roads should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Well Street, Burghclere between Spring Lane and Church Lane and for Silchester Road, Little London, between New Road and Beach's Crescent, as directed by traffic signs. The closure for Well Street is for drainage repairs and Silchester Road is for carriageway repairs.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 01 September 2015 for 1 year. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure for Well Street will take 3 days and the closure for Silchester Road will be for 1 day only) Alternative Routes:
Well Street, Burghclere - Hart Lane, Spring Lane
Silchester Road, Little London - Bramley Road, A340 Aldermaston Road, Silchester Road, Pamber Road, Little London Road, Silchester Road, as indicated by traffic signs. The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 will apply to the order.
