Basingstoke Council - Road Closure - Ash Lane

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ( ASH LANE, BRAMLEY) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Ash Lane, Bramley from its junction with Silchester Road to a point 390 north, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is due to BT works for cabling purposes.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 02 November 2015 for 1 month. (notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will be between 2-9 November 2015 only)

Alternative Route: Boars Bridge, Silchester Road, Little London Road, Bramley Road, Ash Lane or by this route reversed.
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 will apply to the order.
