THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS NO.4) ORDER 2015

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the following roads should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or nearthe road.

Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along those roads listed below as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow for surface treatment and dressing.

1. B3048 Stoke Lane, Hurstbourne Tarrant, St Mary Bourne and Hurstbourne Priors from A343 The Square to B3400 London Road.
2. B3400 Worting Road and Oakley from the roundabout junction with Buckskin Lane to the junction at Pack Lane.
3. Baughurst Road, Baughurst from the junction at Wolverton Road to the A339 Newbury Road.
4. Nutley Bottom Lane, Overton from the B3051 Kingsclere Road to the junction with Folly Cottages.
5. Broad Lane (Jonathan Lane), Newton from the junction at Heatherwold to the junction with Burghclere Road.
6. Adbury Lane, Bishops Green from Ecchinswell Road to Burghclere Road.
7. Baughurst Road, Wolverton and Baughurst from the junction with Wolverton Road to the junction with Wolverton Lane.
8. Heath End Road, Heath End from Ball Hill Road to Chalkpit Hill.
9. Chalkpit Hill, East Woodhay from County Border to Heath End Road.
10. Hollington Lane, East Woodhay from Bartletts Down Lane to Abbey Wells Lane.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 23 November 2015 for 1 year. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected each road closure will be for 2 days only for surface treatment and then at a later date 1 day only for the dressing) Advance warning signs will be displayed

The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 will apply to the order.
