THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (B3400 HIGH STREET, BRIDGE STREET AND RED LION LANE, OVERTON) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers has made the following Order:-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the roads below should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along those roads listed below, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow for BT pole renewal.
1. B3400 High Street between its junctions with B3051 Kingsclere Road and Woodlands.

2. Bridge Street between its junctions with B3400 High Street and Church Road

3. Red Lion Lane between its junctions with Lion Close and B3400 High Street Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 07 February 2016 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will only take 1 day) Alternative Route: B3051 Kingsclere Road, C67 Roman Road, Cole Henley Road, Newbury Road, Newbury Street and B3400 London Road or by this route reversed.
