Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along those roads listed below, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is due to the Bramley Race.
1. Full closure of Bramley Lane for the duration of the event between its two junctions with Moat Close, with diversion via Moat Close.
2. Full closure of Bramley Lane between (i) Oliver's Lane and Moat Close (North) and (ii) Sherfield Road and Moat Close (South) for the start of the race (approx.10.15 - 10.45) with diversion route.
3. Rolling road block of C32 Sherfield Road between its junction with Bramley Lane and Folly Lane for the start of the race (approx. 10.15 - 10.45). Full road closures are required on all the roads to allow for the safe passage of runners during the Bramley Race 2016 on Saturday 14 February 2016. Timings for each area are estimated, and roads will be re-opened as soon as the last runner has passed through, and any barriers or signs are dismantled.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 14 February 2016 for
1 day. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be on 14/2/2016 from approximately 8am until 3pm)
Alternative Route: Via Moat Close, The Street, Minchins Lane and Oliver's Lane. If you have any queries regarding the above please contact Adele Graham on 0118 937 5080 on behalf of Reading Roadrunners.
