Basingstoke and Deane Loading One Way Traffic Hackney Carridge Stand

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING, ONE WAY TRAFFIC AND HACKNEY CARRIAGE STAND) (BASING VIEW) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of its powers under sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act of 1984) as amended and sections 63 and 64 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 and section 63(2) of the 1976 Act, proposes to make the following Order:-
Title:-
The title of the Order, if made, will be The Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading, One Way Traffic and Hackney Carriage Stand) (Basing View) Order 2016.
The effect of the Order will be:-
1. To prohibit waiting along the sides of roads in Basing View as specified in Schedule 1 to the Order;

2. To prohibit loading and unloading along the sides of roads in Basing View as specified in Schedule 2 to the Order;

3. To introduce one way traffic on that part of Basing View as specified in Schedule 3 to the Order;

4. To introduce a hackney carriage stand to accommodate three vehicles on Basing View as specified in Schedule 4 to the Order;

5. To revoke those parts of the Consolidation Order to make these changes possible.

The reason for the above proposals is to promote highway safety and prevent parked vehicles from obstructing the passage of vehicular traffic in the vicinity of the new John Lewis/Waitrose development.
Objections:-
All objections and representations in respect of this proposal must be sent in writing to the Local Government and Litigation Team by Friday, 11th March 2016. Objections may be sent by email to the following address: communityservices@basingstoke.gov.uk. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made.
