BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (FARLEIGH LANE, DUMMER) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Farleigh Lane, Dummer, from the junction with Nutley Lane for a distance of 100m east, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow the replacement of a telegraph pole.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 04 April 2016 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the road closure will be on the 4 April 2016 between the hours of 09:30am to 15:30pm only) Alternative Route: From western end of road closure turn right onto Nutley Lane, continue along Nutley Lane onto Up Street until junction with A30 Winchester Road. Turn left onto A30 Winchester Road and continue along this road until the junction with Duxford Lane. Turn left into Duxford Lane until the junction with B3046 and continue until the junction with Farleigh Lane. Turn left onto Farleigh Lane to eastern end of road closure.
