THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS NO 6) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the following roads should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along those roads listed below, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is for highway maintenance.
1) A339 Ringway East (Southbound carriageway only), Basingstoke -south bound carriageway between A33 Reading Road Roundabout and A30 Black Dam Roundabout including the A3010 Churchill Way East on slip to A339. (2 weeks - night work)

2) A30 Winchester Road, Dummer - M3 junction 7 to Beggarwood Lane to 50m west of Trenchard Lane (2 weeks)

3) B3400 Worting Road and B3400 Churchill Way West, Basingstoke

(including West Ham Roundabout), Basingstoke - B3400 between its junctions with Buckskin Lane and Thorneycroft Roundabout and that part of Worting Road between West Ham Roundabout and Old Worting Road (2 weeks - night work to be phased to limit the impact on traffic flows. Access to the Are station will be maintained and local access will be maintained where possible)
4) Weston Road, Upton Grey - Lees Hill to Weston Close (4 weeks)

5) Church Street (Basingstoke Road), Upton Grey - Weston Road to Upton Grey Road (4 weeks)

6) Bartletts Down Lane, Ashmansworth c-A343Andover Road to Hollington Lane (3 weeks)

7) Lower Wyke, St Mary Bourne - Middle / Lower Wyke Road to Walworth Road (5 weeks)

8) Joices Yard, Basingstoke - All to junction with New Street (2 weeks)

9) B3400 High Street, Overton - Kings Meadow to Red Lion Lane (2 weeks)

10) Woodlands, Overton - B3400 High Street to Oak Close (2 weeks)

11) Ashford Hill Road, Headley - A339 NewburyRoad to The Cedars

(2 weeks)
12) A3010 Churchill Way East (Eastbound Carriageway only), Basingstoke -Eastrop Roundabout to A339 Ringway East, including Basing View slip onto Churchill Way East (2 weeks)

13) Summer Down Lane, North Oakley - Freemantle Farm Cottages to Ashe Lane (2 weeks)

14) Station Road, Oakley - Rectory Road to the access to Park Farm Cottage (2 weeks)

15) Trenchard Lane, Oakley - Rectory Road to Oakley Lane (2 weeks)

16) Bishopswood Shops service Road, Bishopswood Road, Tadley -parking area and road fronting shops opposite 19 Bishopswood Road to opposite to St Michael's Church (2 weeks)

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 01 May 2016 for 18 Months. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected each road closure will be for the number of weeks listed above in bold) Alternative Routes:

2) Primary route - A30 Winchester Rd / A30 Ringway South / A339 /

B3046 / Dummer Road / Duxford Lane / A30 Winchester Road. Local diversion for Dummer village via Up Street / Down Street
3) B3400 Worting Road / Roman Road / A339 Newbury Road / A340 Ringway West

4) Lees Hill / B3349 / The Avenue / A339 Alton Road, Weston Road. Northern - A339 Alton Rd

5) A339 Alton Road/ Dickens Lane/ Tunworth Road/Church Street

6) A343 Andover Road / Cross Lane / Bartletts Down Lane

7) Middle / Lower Wyke / Walworth Road/ Lower Wyke
