THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS NO 8) ORDER 2016

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS NO 8) ORDER 2016

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the following roads should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

Effect of Order:
All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along those roads listed below, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow for drainage repairs, carriageway repairs and a new vehicular access.
1. Bottle Lane, Hartley Wespall - between Bylands Lane and Bar Lane (drainage and carriageway repairs)
2. Rotherwick Lane, Hartley Wespall - between the two junctions of Mill Lane (carriageway repairs)
3. West Street, Tadley - outside house number 55 (drainage repairs)
4. Holdrop Hill, Headley - outside Cherry Cottage (new vehicular access)

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 01 August 2016 for 1 Month. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closures will be for a maximum of 3 days each road)

Alternative Route:
1. Bar Lane, Malthouse Lane, A33 Basingstoke Road
2. Frog Lane, The Street, Reading Road, A33 Basingstoke Road
3. Pamber Heath Road, Silchester Road, Tadley Common Road
4. Union Lane, Ashford Hill Road, Common Road.
