THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (LITTLE KNOWL HILL, BRIMPTON COMMON) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Secti on 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 wi th Hampshi re County Counci l i n exerci se of the powers of the sai d County Counci l and i n exerci se of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road Effect of Order: All traffic wi ll be prohi bited from travelli ng along Little Knowl Hi ll, Bri mpton Common, between its junction with Brimpton Road for approximately 1200 in a south westerly direction, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow BT to access underground structure for cabling to restore customer service.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 03 August 2016 for 1 Month. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will be overnight only on 3 August 2016 from 10.00pm to 06.00am)
Alternative Route: Brimpton Road, Wolverton Road, Wheathold, Little Knowl Hill or by this route reversed.
