THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS NO 9) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the roads listed below should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
1. A339 Alton Road junction with The Avenue, Lasham - North to Back Lane and South to Lasham Hill Lane.

2. The Avenue, Lasham - From A339 Alton Road for 200m east into The Avenue.

3. A343 Andover Road, junction with Woolton Hill Road, Penwood - south to Mount Road and north to slip road for A34.

4. Woolton Hill Road, Penwood - from A343 Andover Road for 200m west into Woolton Hill. Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along the roads listed, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is to allow for Highway Maintenance. (Advance warning signs will be displayed).

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 1 August 2016 for 18 Months. Alternative Route:
1) A339 Alton Rd / B3349 Basingstoke Rd / B3349 New Odiham Rd / B3349 Alton Rd / B3349 Dunleys Hill / B3349 Hook Rd / A287 Farnham Rd / A287 Hook Common / A30 London Rd / Ringway South / A339 Hackwood Rd.

2) As by signed diversion route

3) A343 south, A343 Red Hill, A343 Doiley Hill, A343 Newbury Rd, A3093 Churchill Way, A303, A34 north to A343 Andover Rd.
