Basingstoke and Deane Temporary Road Closures Overton

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS, OVERTON) ORDER 2016
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason lor Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on those roads listed below should be restricted to ensure public safety for the Overton 5 Road Race.

1. Straight Lane, Overton - from junction of B3400 to Polhampton Farm Road.

- from junction of B3400 to Polhampton Farm Road.
2. Polhampton Farm Road, Overton - from Straight Lane to Station Road.

- from Straight Lane to Station Road.
3. Station Road, Overton - from Flaschetts footpath to Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill).

- from Flaschetts footpath to Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill).
4. Kingsdown Lane, (Station Hill) Overton - from Station Road to Nutley Bottom Lane.

- from Station Road to Nutley Bottom Lane.
5. Nutley Bottom Lane, Overton - from Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill) to Ashe Lane.

- from Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill) to Ashe Lane.
6. Ashe Lane, Overton - from Nutley bottom Lane to White Lane.

- from Nutley bottom Lane to White Lane.
7. White Lane, Overton - from Ashe Lane to the junction of Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill) and Nutley Bottom Lane.

- from Ashe Lane to the junction of Kingsdown Lane (Station Hill) and Nutley Bottom Lane.
8. Church Road, Overton - from Kingsclere Road, B3051 to Bridge Street.

Ellect ol Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along the roads listed above, as directed by marshals and road signs. The closures are to allow for the safe passage of runners during the Overton 5 road race.

Duration ol Order: The order will come into effect on 04 September 2016 for 1 Week. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will be lor 1 day only commencing 4 September 2016) Alternative Route:

1) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed for approximately 15 minutes from 14:00 to 14:15.

2) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:00 to 14:20.

3) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:00 to 15:20.

4) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:00 to 15:20.

5) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:10 to 15:00.

6) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:10 to 15:00.

7) Diversion route as directed by marshals and signs. Road will be closed from 14:10 to 15:10.
