THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD AND FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (TAVERNER CLOSE AND FREEMANTLE CLOSE) ORDER 2013
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road and pedestrians travelling along the various footpaths near the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and because of the likelihood of danger to the public. Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Taverner Close between a point 99m east of Norn Hill and a point 12m east from that point, as directed by traffic signs. Pedestrians will be prohibited from travelling along various footpath closures between and adjacent to Taverner Close and Freemantle Close, Norden, Basingstoke, as directed by signs. The closure is to enable for regeneration of works to be undertaken.
Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 4th July for 6 months. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will commence from 15th July 2013).
Alternative Route: No alternative route given for road traffic. Footpath closure -follow signs.
