THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS (1)
HAMPSHIRE) ORDER 2013

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to ar­rangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. The closure is to allow Hampshire County Council to carry out maintenance repairs.

Effect of Order:
1. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Stoke Hill, Stoke from its junction with Stoke Lane B3048 for 200m, as directed by traffic signs.

2. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Anchor Road, Kingsclere from its junction with Swan Street B3051 for 50m, as directed by traffic signs.

3. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Bushywarren Lane, Herriard from its junction with Alton Road A339 to Kit Lane, as directed by traffic signs.

4. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along London Rd B3400, Whitchurch from its junction with The Green to its junction with Hillside.

5. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Bartletts Down Lane, Ashmansworth from its junction with A343 Andover Rd to its junction with Hollington Lane.

6. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Newnham Lane, Newnham from its junction with Old School Road to its junction with The Street.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 14th November 2013 for 12 months.

Alternative Route:
1. Stoke Lane B3048 - Roman Road - Upper Wyke Lane - Finkley Road, as indicated by traffic signs.

2. No Diversion.

3. Alton Road A339 - Bagmore Lane - Berrydown Lane - College Lane - Bushywar-ren Lane as indicated by traffic signs.

4. Lynch Hill Park - Dances Lane - Newbury Road - London Street B3400 as indicat­ed by traffic signs.

5. Andover Rd A343 - Cross Lane - Bartletts Down Lane as indicated by traffic signs.

6. Old School Rd - London Rd A30 - Hatch Lane - Crown Lane - The Street as indicated by traffic signs.
