THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (BRAMLEY LANE, BRAMLEY)
ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The event is being executed on or near the road and to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public the Council considers it expedient to close the road at this point for the duration of the event.
Effect of Order:
1. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Bramley Lane, Bramley between its junctions with Moat Close between 08.00 and 15.00.
2. All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Bramley Lane, Bramley between its junctions with Olivers Lane and Sherfield Road between approx 10.15 and 10.45.
3. There will be a rolling road block of Sherfield Road from Bramley Lane to Folly Lane between approx 10.15 and 10.45.
The road closure, is to prevent vehicular use of Bramley Lane, whilst the Bramley road race takes place, due to the likelihood of danger to the public.
Alternative Routes:
1. Via Moat Close
2. Via The Street, Minchins Lane and Olivers Lane.

Duration of Order: The order comes into effect on 16th February 2014 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding this the closure is expected to remain in place for one day only.
