THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (VARIOUS ROADS (NUMBER 4) HAMPSHIRE) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.
Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along various roads as indicated below:-
1. Great Binfields Road, Chineham, (for carriageway resurfacing) from its junction with the A33 Reading Road to Lutyens Close. Diversion route -A33 Reading Road, Faraday Road, Swing Swang Lane and Great Binfields Road.

2. Winchester Road, Basingstoke (for carriageway resurfacing) from its junction with the A30 Winchester Road roundabout to its junction with Sarum Hill. Diversion route - A30 Winchester Road, A340 Ringway West, Worting Road, Sarum Hill.

3. A340 Aldermaston Road, Sherborne St John, (for carriageway resurfacing) from the Aldermaston Roundabout to its junction with New Road (Tadley). Diversion route - A339 Kingsclere Road, B3501 Little Knowl Hill, A340 Aldermaston Road.

4. Meadham Lane, Hannington, (for carriageway resurfacing) from the B3051 Kingsclere Road to Summer Down Lane. Diversion route - Summer Down Lane, A339 Kingsclere Road, B3051 Ashford Hill.

5. Maidenthorn Lane, North Waltham, (for carriageway resurfacing) from A30 Winchester Road to Elizabethan Rise. Diversion route - Up Street, Yew Tree Lane, Popham Lane, A30 Winchester Road

6. Ball Hill Road, East Woodhay, (for drainage and carriageway works) from Gore End Road to Hilliers Farm Lane. Diversion route - (1) Hilliers Farm Lane and Gore End Road (2) Via Heath End Road, Woodhay Downs, North End Road

7. Feld Way, Lychpit, (for footway resurfacing) from Great Binfields Road to outside of 39 Feld Way. Diversion route - None managed access

8. Crabs Hill, Baughurst, (for drainage works) from junction with A339 Kingsclere Road to its junction at Church Lane. Diversion route - Ramsdell Road, Baughurst Road, Ham Lane, Wolverton Road

9. B3051 Swan Street, Kingsclere (for footway resurfacing) from junction of Bear Hill to its junction with B3051 George Street. Diversion route -B3051 George Street, A339 Kingsclere Road, Roman Road, B3400 Andover Road/London Road. B3051 Kingsclere Road.

10. Wade Road, Basingstoke (for carriageway resurfacing) from junction with Great Binfields Road to its junction at Swing Swang Lane. Diversion route - Great Binfields Road, A33 Reading Road, Faraday Road, Swing Swang Lane

11. Cranes Road, Sherborne St John (for carriageway resurfacing), from A340 Aldermaston Road to its junction with Elm Road. Diversion route -A340 Aldermaston Road, Elm Road

12. Folly Lane, Bramley (for carriageway resurfacing), from the junction with Sherfield Road to its junction with Olivers Lane. Diversion route -Sherfield Road, Bramley Lane, Olivers Lane

13. The Street, Bramley (for drainage works) from Minchens Lane to its junction with Cufaude Lane. Diversion route - Sherfield Road, Bramley Road, A33 Reading Road, A339 Ringway North, A340 Aldermaston Road, Bramley Road, Silchester Road.

14. Chapel Street, North Waltham (for drainage works), from junction with Up Street to its junction with Cuckoo Close. Diversion route - Mary Lane, Steventon Road, Church Road, Yew Tree Road.

15. A339 Kingsclere Road, Baughurst, (for drainage works), from junction with Summer Down Lane to its junction with Ibworth Road. Diversion route -A339 Kingsclere Road, B3501 Little Knowl Hill, A340 Aldermaston Road, A339 Ringway North/Kingsclere Road

16. Sherfield Road, Bramley, (for drainage works), from Bramley Lane to Mill Lane. Diversion route - Sherfield Road, Bramley road, A33 Reading Road, A339 Ringway north, A340 Aldermaston Road, Bramley Road, Silchester Road, The Street.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 24 March 2014 for 1 year
In all cases the dates and durations of each closure will be displayed on advance warning signs. With the exception of emergency works, all closures will be publicised a minimum of 2 weeks in advance and diversion routes will be signed).
