THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
(FARLEIGH LANE, FARLEIGH WALLOP) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on Farleigh Lane, Farleigh Wallop be prohibited to allow for installation of BT duct in trench.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Farleigh Lane, Farleigh Wallop between the junction with the B3046 to the first sharp left hand bend in the direction of Dummer.
Alternative Route: Follow the B3046 in a southerly direction toward Preston Candover. Upon entering the village of Axford turn right towards North Waltham. Proceed along this road until you reach Dummer Down Lane on the right. Follow this road and upon entering the village, turn right into Up Street. Continue along and turn right by the church into Farleigh Lane or by this route reversed.
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 24 March 2014 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for two days only commencing 24 March 2014.
