THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
(CHAPEL HILL RAILWAY BRIDGE, BASINGSTOKE)
ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic travelling along Chapel Hill at the railway bridge, Basingstoke be prohibited to allow for the upgrading of lighting under the bridge.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Chapel Hill from the mini roundabout with Alencon Link to the mini roundabout with Sherborne Road from 10:00pm until 06:00am only.
Alternative Route: Chapel Hill, Kingsclere Road, Brunel Road, Ringway West and Alencon Link or by this route reversed.
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 14 April 2014 for 3 months. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for 1 month onlycommencing
14 April 2014.
