THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
(SKIPPETTS LANE EAST, BASINGSTOKE)
ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on Skippetts Lane East be prohibited to allow for the relay of 350 metres of old drinking water main.
Effect of Order: Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from traveling along Skippetts Lane East, Basingstoke, between Beeches and Potters Barn as indicated by traffic signs. (Residents will have access as arrangements have been put in place)
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 21 April 2014 for 3 months. (Notwithstanding the above the road is expected to be closed from 21 April 2014 to the 11 June 2014).
