THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
(MALDIVE ROAD, BASINGSTOKE)
ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on Maldive Road, Basingstoke be prohibited to allow for the carrying out of resurfacing works.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Maldive Road, Basingstoke for 100m heading north from its junction with Sark Way, as indicated by traffic signs
Alternative Route: Maldive Road - Shetland Road - Maldive Road
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 12 May 2014 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for 5 days only commencing
12 May 2014.
