THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) A33 RINGROAD, BASINGSTOKE) ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: In order to carry out surface treatment works on the A33 Ringroad West

Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling the entire length of on and off the slip roads.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 4th August 2014 for 1 month. (notwithstanding that it is expected the closure will be between 4th - 9th August)

Alternative Route: Northbound off slip - Continue north, east on A339, Aldermaston Road South, Houndmills Road, Brunel Road to slip road. Southbound on slip - east along Brunel Road, Houndmills Road, Aldermaston Road South, west onto A339, 1st exit onto Ringway West.
