THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (DELLANDS LANE, OVERTON) ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order-

Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Dellands Lane, Overton with the junction at High Street be prohibited to allow for a gas mains replacement.

Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Dellands Lane, Overton between High Street and Dellands east/west. (Approx. 320 m), as indicated by traffic signs

Alternative Routes: High Street, Winchester Street, Greyhound Lane, Dellands and by this route reversed

Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 27 August 2014 for 3 months.

(Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place from 27 August 2014 to 23 September 2014)

The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
