THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS. BASINGSTOKE(URBAN)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) TRAFFIC ORDER 2014

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and Sections 63 and 64 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 ("the Act of 1976") as amended, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, has made the following Order:-Title:-
This Order may be cited as "The Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (Various Roads (Urban)) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING) Traffic Order 2014. The effect of the Order will be:-
1.To revoke The Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (Consolidation Order) 2011 insofar as it relates to certain roads in the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council area as defined in the Order.
2. To prohibit waiting along the sides of the roads specified in Schedule 1 to the Order (and listed below).

3. To introduce a residents' permit parking scheme along the sides of the road as specified in Schedule 2 to the Order (and listed below).

4. To introduce a residents' permit parking scheme and disabled parking places during certain hours on the sides of the road as specified in Schedule 3 to the Order (and listed below).

5. To introduce disabled parking places on the areas of the roads as specified in Schedule 4 to the Order (and listed below).

6. To introduce limited waiting during certain hours with exceptions along the sides of the road as specified in Schedule 5 to the Order (and listed below).

7. To introduce limited waiting during certain hours along the sides of the road as specified in Schedule 6 to the Order (and listed below).

This Order will come into operation on 18th September 2014. Further information:-

Details are also available on the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council website at www.basingstoke.gov.uk/go/PTRO. Application to the High Court:-
Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of those Sections or of Parts I, II, III or IV of Schedule 9 to the Act or any requirements made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 23rd October 2014 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
