BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (OAKLEY LANE, OAKLEY) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Oakley Lane, Oakley at the railway bridge be prohibited to allow for detailed and critical railway bridge examination. Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Oakley Lane, Oakley at the railway bridge, as indicated by traffic signs
Alternative Route: Oakley Lane, St Johns Road, Avon Road, Kennet Way, Oakley Lane Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 16 November 2014 for 1 month from 8:00am to 16:00pm. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for 1 day only on the 16 November 2014).
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
