THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (BRAMLEY LEVEL CROSSING. BRAMLEY) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Sheffield Road at the Bramley level crossing be prohibited to allow for level crossing maintenance works. Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Sherfield Road at the Bramley level crossing, as indicated by traffic signs Alternative Route: From the Bramley level crossing, Sherfield Road, A33 Reading Road, A339 Ringway North, A340 Aldermaston Roundabout, Bramley Road, Silchester Road, The Street, Bramley level crossing and by this route reversed
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 10 January 2015 for 1 month between the hours of 23:30pm until 07:30am. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for 1 night only as stated).
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
