THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (BRAMLEY LEVEL CROSSING, SHERFIELD ROAD, BRAMLEY) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Sherfield Road at the Bramley level crossing be prohibited to enable inspections to take place. Effect of Order: Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along Sherfield Road at the Bramley level crossing, as indicated by traffic signs. Alternative Route: Sherfield Road, The Street, Vyne Road, Elm Road, A340, Popley Way, A33, Bramley Road and Sherfield Road and by this route reversed Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 22 January 2015 for 1 month between the hours of 00:01-05:00. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place for two consecutive nights).
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
