THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (SERVICE ROAD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY, CHURCHILL WAY, BASINGSTOKE) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along the service road on the south side of the westbound carriageway along Churchill Way be prohibited to allow construction of enabling works for CP 1, Festival Place.
Effect of Order:
Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along the above road, as indicated by traffic signs
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 2 February 2015 for 3 months. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place between 2 February 2015 until 13 March 2015)
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
