THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (NEWNHAM ROAD, HOOK) ORDER 2015
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Newnham Road, Hook be prohibited for crane lifting transformers. Effect of Order:
Closure -All traffic will be prohibited from travelling Newnham Road, Hook, as indicated by traffic signs.
Alternative Route: Old School Road, London Road, Crown Lane and by this route reversed
Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 21 February 2015 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will take place from 0800hrs on the 21 February 2015 until 1600hrs on the 23 February 2015).
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
