The Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (Temporary 30MPH and 50MPH Speed Limit)
(A30 Ringway South, A339 Ringway East, A30 London Road, Black Dam Roundabout, Basingstoke) Notice 2015
Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Sections 14(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992, and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic on the A30 Ringway South, A339 Ringway East and A30 London Road, be restricted, to allow for Black Dam Roundabout Improvement works to be carried out safely. Effect of Order:
Speed Restriction - All traffic will be subject to a 30mph and 50mph speed restriction on those roads listed below 30mph speed limit:
1. A30 Ringway South (Eastbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 675m west of the roundabout.

2. A30 Ringway South (Westbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 400m west of the roundabout.

3. A339 Ringway East (Southbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 750m north of the roundabout.

4. A339 Ringway East (Northbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 400m north of the roundabout.

5. A30 London Road (Westbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 200m east of the roundabout.

6. A30 London Road (Eastbound) - between its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 300m east of the roundabout.

50mph speed limit:
1. A30 Ringway South (Eastbound) - between a point 675m west of its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 550m west of that point.

2. A339 Ringway East (Southbound) - between a point 750m north of its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 275m north of that point.

3. A30 London Road (Westbound) - between a point 200m east of its junction with Black Dam Roundabout and a point 150m east of that point.

Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 27 February 2015 for 1 year. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected the speed restrictions will be in place from 27 February 2015 until 12 December 2015.
The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
