THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2015

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (the Council), pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of its own powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4, 5, 32, 35 and 124 and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act proposes to make the following Order-

Title - This Order if made can be cited as The Basingstoke & Deane (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2015 (the Order)

The effect of the Order will be to -

1. To introduce electric vehicle parking bays for the purposes of charging electric vehicles in Central and Churchill Way car parks.

2. To introduce allocated police parking bays at Civic Offices car park.

3. To introduce disabled and Hip Dysplasia permit holder parking bays in Castons and Crossborough Hill car parks.

4. Changes to short stay car parks (Albert Yard, Castons Yard, Central, Feathers Yard, Jacobs Yard and Joices Yard), to prohibit return within 1 hour.

5. To update the Order with new parking charges.

6. To revoke The Basingstoke & Deane (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2014.
