THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)

(JOICES YARD AND CHURCH STREET, BASINGSTOKE) ORDER 2015

Notice is hereby given
that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted or prohibited to allow for the repaving of Church Street.

Effect of Order: All traffic will be prohibited from travelling (1) between Joices Yard and Church Street (2) Revocation of one-way traffic between Church Street between (i) Haymarket Yard and Cross Street and (ii) Cross Street between New Street and Church Street.

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect for two consecutive weeks on 22nd March 2015 for 1 month (not withstanding that it is expected the closure will be between 22nd March 2015 - 29th March 2015).

Alternative Route: Via New Street, Cross Street, Church Street and Haymarket Yard or by this route reversed

The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
