THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (BYFLEET AVENUE, OLD BASING) ORDER 2015

Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 14(1) of the Road. Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council is satisfied that traffic proceeding along Byfleet Avenue, Old Basing, be prohibited to allow for undertaking a sewer connection.

Effect of Order:

Closure - All traffic will be prohibited from travelling along length of road between London Road and Park Avenue. (Access to be permitted to properties either side of the works).

Alternative Route: From the northern end of closure along travel west along Park Avenue. Turn left into Park Lane and travel south to London Road. Turn left into London Road and travel east to meet the southern end of the closure.

Duration of Order: The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2015 for 1 month. (Notwithstanding the above it expected the closure will be from the 7-10 April 2015 only).

The exemptions under S 87 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Road traffic exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and amendment) Regulations 2011 apply to this order.
