THE BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2015
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council (the Council), pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of its own powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4, 5, 32, 35 and 124 and Part IV of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act has made the following Order-Title - This Order can be cited as The Basingstoke & Deane (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2015 (the Order) Date of operation:- This Order will come into operation on 3rd April 2014. The effect of the Order will be to -
1. To introduce electric vehicle parking bays for the purposes of charging electric vehicles in Central and Churchill Way car parks.

2. To introduce allocated police parking bays at Civic Offices car park.

3. To introduce disabled and Hip Dysplasia permit holder parking bays in Castons and Crossborough Hill car parks.

4. Changes to short stay car parks (Albert Yard, Castons Yard, Central, Feathers Yard, Jacobs Yard and Joices Yard), to prohibit return within 1 hour.

5. To update the Order with new parking charges.

6. To revoke The Basingstoke & Deane (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2014.

Application to the High Court:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of those Sections or of Parts I, II, III or IV of Schedule 9 to the Act or any requirements made under the said Part III of Schedule 9 have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 15^th May 2015 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
