PUBLIC meeting: There were more than 100 attendees at last week’s public meeting concerning Razor’s Farm.

An introduction by council chairman, Chris Tomblin, was given (available to see at: www.chineham.gov.uk).

Some useful snippets emerged, particularly with respect to design of the access roads from the business parks into the proposed development.

It was mentioned that if the site is shortly recognised as suitable for development as part of the borough council’s Local Plan, the difficulty in challenging the application is much increased.

What goes into the Local Plan will be influenced in terms of site selection at two forthcoming meetings of the Basingstoke and Deane planning and infrastructure overview and scrutiny committee. One took place on Thursday and the other is on January 21. People are welcome to attend these meetings.

ADVANCED notice: Chineham Conservation Group will be meeting on January 26, for coppicing in Great Sorrel’s Copse.
