WELL done: After three local firework displays all in one area this weekend, I am exhausted.
The first one was at Kempshott Village Hall Social Club, which did really well and gave a wonderful display.
The second one was over at Hatch Warren where, once again, they put on a wonderful display with a lot of people going along.
The third one was the Mayor's Firework Fiesta at the War Memorial Park.
BIKES: I have just received the following information in an e-mail.
East Hampshire is experiencing a sporadic spurt of cycle thefts in large numbers overnight.
I would like to make you aware of this and what you can do to help prevent this happening to you.
With Christmas coming, cycle theft increases, so be more vigilant when storing them and leaving them in public places.
The police will be holding a cycle marking campaign in the area soon.
Lock bikes away at night. If they are kept in a shed or garage, it would be worth chaining the bikes together with a good chain and closed shackle lock or good general chain from a cycle shop.
Install a personal attack alarm or shed alarm in the shed or stored area that will be set off when doors are opened. These can be purchased from hardware and security stores.
Photograph your cycle and note the serial number.
