CHRISTMAS: Is coming and the arrangements for the Christmas fair are gathering momentum.

Jenni Gould is collecting prizes for the tombola. If you have any chocolates, biscuits, smellies, gifts etc that you would like to donate, you can take them to Park View, or call Jenni on 381471 and she will collect.

RECYCLING champions: Ellisfield is to be featured in the next edition of the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council's magazine Basingstoke and Deane Today, due to be published this month.

Look out for a photograph of our very own recycling champions Seumus Foster (batteries), Ted Dowson (ink cartridges) and Tony Matthews (mobile phones) and do remember to deliver your items for recycling to them.

FIREWORK fun: I understand more than 150 enjoyed the Friends of Cliddesden School event recently and, despite the weather, everyone had a good time.

Jay and Archie Garland won the Best Guy competition and £150 was raised for school funds.

Thanks to Annette Taylor for organising the event, Justin, Jeremy and Jim for lighting the fireworks and bonfire and to the members of The Black Sheep Band for keeping everyone entertained.
